"who gonna ride for you" and "who gonna ride with you" are lyrics of a song... and we can spread these lyrics...

Can you think of another way to say, "you can trust me "?

One of my students asked, "who gonna wide with you?" And he explained that the phrase meaNs "who can you trust to be next to you?  You can trust me."

Our school is looking at making a list of positive ideas that we expect all people, teachers, visitors and students, to agree to follow.  When you enter our school, please feel free to:

Trust each other
Tell the truth
Listen actively
Avoid putting down people, let's build up each other
And let's give our best

Those are the 5 expectations...
Those words communicate five ways that people are expected to act when they visit New Ciry School in St. Louis. Missouri.  I saw that sign on 2006 on the outside of the building and it says everything to me about what happens in that achool.

So what will be the phrases n the sign outside our building?

Trust.  "Who gonna ride with you?  We are ready to ride with you.  Let's go"

Truth.   "Gimme da truth"

"I hear what you just said." [Active listening]

"Build us up." [No put downs]

"Gimme your best." [Personal best]

We want the best version of you....
